Hiking and trekking
Without moving your car from the farm, you can take the Zappolino climb, or CAI trail 207, which also coincides with the Piccola Cassia route at this point, and continue toward Monteveglio, reaching it in an hour and a half of walking through woods and vineyards.
If you’re not too tired, you can also continue from the village to the abbey for another 40 minutes. The effort is worth the visit to the medieval village, which has been completely preserved in its original beauty.
If you travel by car, even a short distance, you’ll have access to numerous trails and routes of varying difficulty.

Villages and cities not to be missed
Just a short distance away, you can visit Bologna, Modena, and Ferrara. With a little more time, you can easily spend a day in Florence, Ravenna, Rimini, and many lesser-known towns that are equally worth a visit even just for an afternoon. For example, Vignola, Savignano Alta, Monteveglio Abbey, and Bazzano are all less than a half-hour drive away.
And let’s not forget a major attraction not far from here: the Ferrari World and Museum await you!
