The farmhouse is surrounded by a garden planted with around a hundred different varieties of roses. The rose is undoubtedly the plant that distinguishes every open space; it can be found at the top of every row of vines as well as near the pool. April, May, and June are the months when these plants bloom, adding to the garden’s sumptuous appearance.
Butterflies and birds are frequent guests in the garden, nesting in the tangle of climbing rose branches.
In winter, you can spot them feeding on berries and frequenting the garden’s feeders: blue tits, blue tits, and robins are the most enterprising, but by late winter, wrens, finches, wagtails, long-tailed tits, and other less distinguishable but equally hungry birds are no longer so shy.
Near the rooms, there’s also a small pond, home to aquatic plants and singing frogs.
